The holidays are a wonderful time of year. I love the music, the decorations, and the general festiveness that comes with every season. However, as an introvert and a person with general anxiety, the holidays can also be very stressful.
As a writer, I live for reviews. Of course, the writing process is fun and therapeutic (or else, I wouldn’t be writing at all), but reviews are just the best. Knowing that someone out there has not only read your work, but has taken a few minutes to type out a comment, is one of the best feelings in the world.
Usually, autumn (or, as we say in America, “fall”) doesn’t mean much to me. I’m in South Florida, where the trees don’t change color, the weather typically stays the same, and pumpkins don’t last long baking in the heat on the front porch. It’s also too hot to be drinking apple cider and pumpkin spice lattes, or visiting a pumpkin patch wearing scarves and boots.
Okay, the main reason my husband and I went to Los Angeles (all the way back in July of 2017) was to experience the Disneyland Resort and the D23 Convention. However, this was only our second time to beautiful, sunny Southern California, and we wanted to take in some sights we’ve never seen before. Of course, we saw all the conventional sites like Griffith Park, the Chinese Theater, the Walk of Fame, and the Hollywood Sign…but here are 3 of my favorite unique L.A. destinations.
I love that I can keep going to Disney, and still experience things I’ve never done before. There are a few items on my “Disney Bucket List” that I would like to do very much, but have not, either because of time or money constraints. However, I love that I’ll always have something at Disney to look forward to.
This weekend, certain celebrities are flocking to Disney World for the annual taping of the Christmas Day Parade. The parade is usually filmed way before the actual Christmas Day, along with any promotions, specials, and interviews Disney may do with the stars of their Disney Channel shows, and other family-friendly performers.
I was so excited to be tagged by the wonderful Cassie of http://www.zombiegoddessbeauty.com/ for the “Shuffle the Music Tag!” I love music, and currently have over 7,000 songs on my favorites playlist alone, so this should be interesting! I promise, they’re not all Disney songs!
When reading blogs about anxiety, I usually find a lot of articles about how to cope with this never-ending feeling of unease. However, I want to do something a bit unique, and just write about some of the weird crap I find myself doing daily thanks to anxiety. I’m not saying everyone with anxiety has these same habits, but as always, I write in the hopes that someone else out there can relate.
I’ve been feeling a bit uninspired this week. So, for today’s post, I looked back at my Disney photos and thought I would write about one of the best days I’ve had at Walt Disney World in a long time. And yes, it involved lots of butts (animal butts), and a delicious, heavenly, ice-cream-filled brioche.
